NBA Westbrook traded to Utah… Lakers acquire 3 players including Russell

A triangular trade was made ahead of the trade deadline in the NBA.

ESPN reported on the 9th (Korean time), citing a source, “The Los Angeles Lakers have sent Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz and recruited three other players, including D’Angelo Russell from the Minnesota Timberwolves.”

Reportedly, the Lakers acquired Russell, Malik Beasley and Jared Vanderbilt from Minnesota instead of sending Westbrook to Utah.

Utah acquired Westbrook, Juan Toscano Anderson, and Damien Jones from the Lakers, and Minnesota agreed to a triangle trade for Mike Conley and Nickel Alexander Walker from Utah.

An exchange of naming rights was also carried out. Utah received a rookie first-round pick in 2027, and Minnesota earned one additional rookie second-round pick each from 2024-2026.

ESPN explained, “Russell, Beasley, and Vanderbilt, who will wear Lakers uniforms, will strengthen the power of the Lakers centered on LeBron James.” 바카라

As of the 9th, the Lakers are 13th in the Western Conference with 25 wins and 30 losses, but with the joining of the three players, it is evaluated that they succeeded in strengthening their strength for a rebound.

Westbrook, who left the Lakers and moved to Utah, is the player with the most triple-doubles among former and current players with 198 personal career triple-doubles.

Westbrook, who is averaging 15.9 points and 7.5 assists this season, is known to have had an altercation with Lakers manager Davin Hamm after a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the 8th, and he left the team in a trade the day after.

The 36-year-old veteran has moved to Minnesota to reunite with Rudy Gobert, whom he ate last season with Utah.
