Kiwoom won 5-2 against KT Wiz in the ‘2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League’ at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on Tuesday. The team avenged a loss in its last game (2-3 against Suwon KT on Sept. 9) to improve to 24-1 and 34-0 on the season and move within “half a game” of eighth-place KT.

Early in the game, Kiwoom took the lead by completing a big inning. In the top of the second inning, Kim Jun-wan worked a full count and drew a bases-loaded walk for a 1-0 lead. In the next at-bat, Kim Hye-sung hit a two-seam fastball from Lee Sun-woo for a 110-meter grand slam (her third of the season) over the right field fence to make it 5-0.

The first run came in the bottom of the fifth inning. Starting pitcher Ahn Woo-jin gave up a huge RBI double to Jang Jun-won with one out to make it 5-1. In the bottom of the eighth, Moon Sang-chul’s grounder to third allowed the runner from third to score, making it 5-2.

Kiwoom brought in closer Lim Chang-min to pitch the final inning and preserve the win 먹튀검증.

After the game, Kiwoom coach Hong Won-ki said, “Ahn Woo-jin was perfect in her first pitch after the break. She made full adjustments like an ace and shut down the opposition for seven innings.”

“In the middle of the field, Kim Hye-sung’s performance stood out. She hit the game-winning home run in the top of the second inning, and her defense kept the game from getting out of hand,” he added, giving her a thumbs-up.
